Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) yet again showcased their prowess and understanding of esports with a fantastic introduction video as they unveiled their European Challenger Series team for the world’s largest esports title: League of Legends.

The players that fly the flag for PSG in League are not short of experience. The full roster is as below:

  • Etienne ‘Steve’ Michels – Top lane
  • Jin ‘Blanc’ Seong-min – Mid lane
  • Na ‘Pilot’ Woo-hyung – AD Carry
  • Thomas ‘Kirei’ Yuen – Jungle
  • Hampus ‘Sprattel’ Abrahamsson – Support

For Steve and Sprattel, it’s their second foray with professional sports teams as they move from FC Schalke 04. Korean players Blanc and Pilot both move from Korean team Jin Air Green Wings to join the French juggernaut. Kirei has played for huge esports brand Team Dignitas before moving onto Epsilon eSports and finally landing at PSG.

The team will be coached by a legend in the League scene, Bora ‘YellOwStaR’ Kim who holds the role as head of esports at the French football club.

Esports Insider says: Just watch the video. It’s another brilliant piece of work from the PSG esports team who, with Webedia, continue to show exactly how you should treat the esports landscape. Whilst all of the players on the roster have been around for a while, none of them have quite broken into the top top echelons of League so under the guidance of YellOwStaR they’ll be hoping to take PSG far. Only time will tell.
