BT Productions signs esports and gaming content deal with Attention Seekers

Creative agency Attention Seekers has teamed up with BT Productions, the production arm of BT Sport, to put on a series of varied esports and gaming programming.

Phil Tucker, Attention Seekers Founder commented: “We are great admirers of BT’s forward thinking as evident from its approach to sports broadcasting and firmly believe this partnership will deliver programming that will position gaming as part of the mainstream entertainment mix, be it pro-esports, competitive gaming or entertainment based Gaming formats.”

We’ve already seen FIFA on BT Sport and now UK audiences can expect far more of this sort of content.

BT TV and BT Sport COO Jamie Hindhaugh noted: “BT Sport has recently started to broadcast FIFA and Forza programming and the feedback has been extremely positive. Attention Seekers has many years of experience producing live broadcast events on behalf of the games industry.

“The combination of our production facilities and distribution network alongside Attention Seekers’ creativity and industry know-how will provide games publishers with new ways of engaging with players and fans.”

Attention Seekers will work from BT’s Stratford based space to produce this programming, though we’re yet to know which esports titles will be the initial focus. As a creative agency, Attention Seekers has considerable pedigree in gaming generally having worked with the likes of EA, Xbox One, Microsoft and more. The London based firm has also had content on Channel 4 and Sky, and picked up MCV awards for its past campaigns.

We’ve reached out to Attention Seekers so will hopefully have more on this story soon.

Esports Insider says: BT evidently viewed its FIFA experiment as a success. In signing up with Attention Seekers we should see some strong esports and gaming content coming to BT if the agency’s portfolio is anything to go by.
