Unikrn introduces its own cryptocurrency – UnikoinGold

Esports only bookmaker Unikrn has had its own ‘Unikoin’ product to use on site for over two years. The company’s Founder and CEO Rahul Sood has now announced the next step; Unikrn is launching its own cryptocurrency called UnikoinGold.

The Unikrn team, which is based in Seattle, has been working on improving its Unikoin product since 2015. Now it’s taking this one step further, and the inaugural token sale is set to start in 88 days. You can sign up to be notified here.

UnikoinGold will be on the Ethereum blockchain as a ‘decentralised ECR20 token’ and the site states that it ‘will be an entry to the existing Unikrn betting system, and it will also become the exclusive token used on a brand new skill- based betting platform’. That it’s part of the Ethereum blockchain is significant as it means people will be able to buy, sell and trade them on the exchanges for Ethereum.

Revealing the details of the project on Linkedin, Sood stated: “After exceeding a quarter of a billion Unikoins turned, we knew it was time to introduce our cryptocurrency – #UnikoinGold. We are announcing what will be one of the world’s largest token sale for UnikoinGold, a cryptocurrency based on ERC20 which will trade on all the major crypto exchanges shortly after the initial token sale.”

He continued: “This gives you an opportunity to own UnikoinGold tokens, and use them on our platform and buy/sell/trade them on any of the major exchanges for Ethereum and ultimately fiat currency. Check out our microsite at www.unikoingold.com for more information, register there if you want to participate and be a party of history. Our investors are eager to get going on this, and there is much work to do! Please also join our new Slack Community at and participate in the discussion.”

Want a chance to ask Rahul questions directly? Unikrn CEO Rahul Sood will be speaking at the Betting on Esports conference in London in September (13-15). Sood will be joined by a number of other high profile speakers from the industry including James Dean of ESL UK, Alex Igelman of Millennial Esports, Marco Blume of Pinnacle and more; there’ll be six discussion panels in addition to networking opportunities, an exhibition area and both dinners and parties in the evenings.

Esports Insider says: Make no mistake, this is big news from Unikrn. With some heavy hitters as financial backers, the launch of UnikoinGold on Ethereum is significant. It’s another expansion to Unikrn as a company too, and follows on from its acquisition of LEET.gg which is a tournament organiser focused on the casino space.
