Fnatic’s Bunkr will play host this Thursday (6-10pm, 31st August) to the second #ESI Forum in association with Digital Fuel. Whereas the event had previously sold out, the ESI team have made a few extra tickets available for those still wishing to attend.

With 85+ attendees comprised of an eclectic mixture of gambling and esports folk, it’s sure to prove an invaluable evening of networking that will help to forge valuable future business relationships. Tickets are priced at just £15 plus VAT and are available here

Sam Cooke, Editor at Esports Insider, commented: “We were delighted with how the first of our ESI Forum Series went, and this one should top that too with a full house at Fnatic’s place.

“We’ve once again managed to confirm a panel of experts in the space, and it’ll be an ideal chance to learn about the esports and betting opportunity and ask any burning questions you may have in that regard. We’ve lined up a number of debate worth topics for our upcoming Forums in September and October too, so make sure to get yourself along to the next if you’re not around on Thursday!

“Many thanks to our Event Partner Digital Fuel, and sponsor this time around UltraPlay, for enabling us to put on these events.”

The inaugural ESI Forum saw an expert panel dissect why football clubs were entering the burgeoning esports space. Fnatic CEO Wouter Sleijffers was joined by Sky Sports commentator Gary Taphouse and Wolfsburg’s professional FIFA Player Dave Bytheway as they delved deeper into the topic. The evening then moved away from formalities encouraging attendees to network with pizza & drink aplenty and a FIFA tournament commentated by Gary and esports host Matt Andrews.

The ESI team have decided to mix it up ever so slightly this month. The topic for the panel surrounds esports and gambling, the challenges therein and where the opportunity lies.

Ian Smith, Commissioner of ESIC will moderate a panel including:

  • James Watson, Head of Esports, Sportradar;
  • Toby Oddy, CEO, Digital Fuel;
  • Suraj Gosai, CEO, Blinkpool;
  • Peter Ivanov, Head of Esports Trading, Ultraplay.

Most importantly, FIFA will be swapped for Tekken as attendees are pushed out of their comfort zone and encouraged to mash as many buttons as physically possible to be crowned Tekken Champion and win a great prize. As always, attendees will be kept well fed and watered as the chairs are whisked away and networking is openly encouraged with the help of ample pizza, beer and wine.

The tournament will be run in partnership with fantastic gaming charity SpecialEffect and ESI have enlisted the fantastic voices of Ryan “Ketchup” Neal and Jake “Mustard” Neal to bring the hype to the closing stages of the tournament. Ryan’s fresh off a flight from Dallas where he’s been involved in the commentary for the Quake Champions World Championships where over $1,000,000 was won by the finest competitors. The man is no slouch either when it comes to fighting games, having competed in the finals of the FGC’s biggest event, EVO, in the past. The pair are amongst the most respected casting duos in FGC esports so attendees will be under serious pressure.

And no, button bashing will not beat a professional.
