Sportradar and Francaise des Jeux (“FDJ”) have partnered to launch a free esports betting site which will cover the main international esports competitions.

Francaise des Jeux is France’s national lottery, and this comes as an extension to its sports betting brand, ParionsSport. The website, parionesport.fr will leverage Sportradar’s esports product allowing fans of esports to peruse the range of content and statistics from competitions across the world of esports.

Francaise des Jeux will receive the esports API, STats Centre as well as odds and live odds across all available titles, whilst the company will also utilise Sportradar’s SportsbookCloud for both the web and mobile platform.

The FDJ has developed the free esports betting site in adherance with French regulation, which currently prohibits real money betting. Sportradar currently holds exclusive data rights for PvPRO and ESL amongst other smaller tournaments across the world.

Jean-Francis Beaulieu, Business Unit Director of ParionsSport, said: “Sportradar’s reputation in the esports sector is impossible to ignore, they will bring us the content for this free esports betting offering and will undoubtedly support our mission to speak to a population of young adults with the principles of image and recruitment.”

Sportradar’s Head of esports, James Watson added: “We are excited to be working on ParionsSport esports offering and to help deepen the connection between a range of esports titles and these savvy fans, who are looking for interaction and insight. This is an exciting time for esports in France.”

Esports Insider says: Tres bien! Rejoice, French esports fans. For those looking to have a social dabble on their favourite esports teams, they need look no further than FDJ. Another positive move to stop folk from “skin betting” as a means of social betting, but instead bring it under a regulated umbrella.
