Hintz had this to say of his new role: “It makes me proud that I now not only as a fan, but officially and through eSports a representative of the club. I will do everything to make this project a success. “

Esports Insider says: So we’ve yet another major football club in the esports space. It’s another going down the now well trodden route of pro FIFA but all the same it’s a step in the right direction, and nice to see Bayer 04 signing both a local player and fan of the club.
