We at Esports Insider are happy to announce that we will be hosting a Tekken tournament alongside UK charity SpecialEffect at the ESI Super Forum on Thursday 22nd March.

The tournament will be played on Microsoft’s Xbox One with support from Bandai Namco taking place throughout the afternoon of the event in the ESI Business and Networking Area in our Stamford Bridge venue.

Joining us to cast the tournament will be PNDKetchup (Ryan Neal) and PNDMustard (Jake Neal), and there will of course be a prize for the eventual winner. We will be welcoming and thoroughly appreciating any donations for SpecialEffect, both during the event and outside of it.

Jake ‘PNDMustard’ Neal said: “The two of us are thrilled to have the chance to not only commentate some Tekken once again, but do our part to help a great cause, looking forward to seeing some GGs!”

To ensure their involvement in the tournament is guaranteed, attendees can contact [email protected], but are free to sign up on the day as well

“The tournaments at our ESI Forum Series always went down a storm and were that nice mix of competitive and casual,” said Sam Cooke, Editor-In-Chief of Esports Insider. “No doubt this’ll be the same with Tekken this time around. It’s great to have the opportunity to show SpecialEffect some love and support the work they do once again. We’re also honoured that Ketchup and Mustard are taking the time to come down and cast it for us, which’ll ensure that even if the standard of play is lacklustre, the commentary will be on point!”

Tom Donegan,  Events Coordinator, SpecialEffect said: “We’re delighted to have been chosen as the charity partner for the ESI Super Forum. The team at ESI have invited us to their regular forum events several times over the past six months and each time we’ve come away with some new friends and an improved knowledge of the industry. The money raised through the Tekken Showdown will be used to directly support our work, enabling more people with disabilities to play the games we all love!

“There will also be the opportunity for delegates to try out some of our accessible technology for themselves, so please drop by and find out more about how we’re using games as a force for good!”

Make sure you get your tickets to attend the ESI Super Forum on Thursday 22nd March and have a go at staking your claim as the best Tekken player in the industry, all whilst supporting an excellent charity! Of course, you’ll also get to meet with some of the greatest minds of the esports and sports industries such as keynote speaker and Ballon d’Or winner Ruud Gullit. But don’t forget about the Tekken.

You can have a look at the great work SpecialEffect do right here.
