Rocket Mortgage is the nation’s largest mortgage lender and another non-endemic company to enter the fray of the NBA 2K League. The company first entered esports in January with a partnership with 100 Thieves to create a team house for its League of Legends team in California. Quicken Loans is already a named sponsor of the arena that the Cleveland Cavaliers play in so it only seems fitting to now join forces with it’s NBA 2K League team.

Cavs Legion is one of 17 teams all backed by NBA organizations in the NBA 2K League. All five players from each team receive a six month contracts along with salaries, benefits, and sponsorship deals. The inaugural 2K League season began yesterday with the tipoff tournament live from New York City.

Esports Insider says: There’s nothing more exciting than non-endemic brands entering into esports. While Rocket Mortgage is no stranger to esports, this is a big announcement as the league launches today.
