Samsung, SIMPLE Mobile sponsor Echo Fox’s Injustice 2 team

Echo Fox has announced that its Injustice 2 players – Dominique “SonicFox” McLean, Brad “Scar” Vaughn, and Jivan “Theo” Karapetian – are now sponsored by both Samsung and SIMPLE Mobile.

As part of this deal, SIMPLE Mobile will highlight Echo Fox’s Injustice 2 squad at CEO, EVO, SoCal Regionals, East Coast Throwdown, and other events throughout the year.

This deal will debuted with the Injustice 2 Pro Series at CEO, Samsung and SIMPLE Mobile will present the series while the players who represent Echo Fox compete.

Jared Jeffries, President of Echo Fox discussed the partnership: “Partnering with Samsung and SIMPLE Mobile further solidifies Echo Fox’s position as a global force with the most elite FGC players that are continuing to dominate the Injustice 2 scene. Heading into CEO, our team roster is proud to work with a sponsor that understands the fighting game community and can deliver the esports experience to a mainstream audience.”

Echo Fox is also partnered with HyperX, ASUS, Republic of Gamers, and Qanba. The North American organisation also competes in Call of Duty, Dragonball Fighter Z, Gears of War, H1Z1, League of Legends, Madden, Street Fighter V, Super Smash Bros., and Tekken 7.

This isn’t Samsung’s first venture into esports, with the likes of Samsung Galaxy competing in League of Legends, partnering with Legacy, and sponsoring Flamengo’s esports team, among other deals.

Esports Insider says: Samsung has plenty of experience in esports, and bringing in SIMPLE Mobile for additional support sounds sensible. Another non-endemic sponsor in esports is always welcome if they care about the industry! As long as they support Echo Fox’s Injustice 2 players then it sounds like a good deal for the organisation.
