William Hill will again take bets on an esports event in Nevada, as the DreamHack Masters CS:GO tournament gets underway.

Las Vegas will take legal wager on esports once more

People that fancy a dabble on the blockbuster CS:GO tournament will be able to place bets at William Hill’s 108 Nevada Sports Books and on the Mobile app. It comes as the Nevada Gaming Control Board again permitted wagering on an esports event.

This is the second time that William Hill will take legal wagers on esports in Las Vegas, with the previous event coming in the form of IEM Oakland. League of Legends was the esport then being offered.

The initial betting open is ante-post, but in the press release, William Hill revealed that it will be offering matchup wagering on the Quarterfinal, Semifinal and Final of the tournament. The favourites heading into the event, which runs from February 15th-19th, are ELEAGUE Major winners Astralis. Runners-up Virtus.pro, CIS juggernaut Natus Vincere and Brazilian legends SK Gaming are in close contention.

Esports Insider says: It comes as no surprise that the Nevada Gaming Control Board remain open to esports betting. The IEM Oakland betting was the first of its kind. With grand plans for Vegas to become a quintessential esports hub, we can only expect the wagering in Nevada to grow and grow.
