Sportradar and PvPRO pen multi-year partnership for audiovisual and data rights

Sportradar has announced a new partnership with PvPRO, a platform for hosting games and tournaments to distribute the audiovisual streams and data from upcoming competitions on a worldwide basis.

Additionally, the release states that PvPRO will leverage Sportradar’s integrity solutions, namely the Fraud Detection System across PvPRO hosted competition. 

It comes just days before the Electronic Sports Global Tour (“ESG Tour”) series, with the first event being held in Mykonos, Greece. There’s €200,000 (£180,000) on the line and some impressive teams heading out to the luxurious surroundings. The deal between Sportradar and the tournament organiser is multi-year and will focus on the audiovisual streaming rights for the betting market, plus data distribution rights as a whole. 

PvPRO CEO Stamos Venios said in the release: “Launching our first stop of our first ESG Tour is a super exciting development for us and we are delighted to have secured the involvement of top CS:GO teams such as SK, Virtus.pro and mousesports. To really kick the Tour off in style and with a statement of professional intent, we also wanted to bring on board the number one specialists in esports data, betting streams and integrity. Securing Sportradar’s support and expertise was really important to the credibility and distribution of the Tour and as we start this journey, we could not be happier to have Sportradar by our side”.

Sportradar already have an existing deal in place with global esports tournament organiser and provider ESL. This comes as the second exclusive data deal signed by Sportradar although they did recently launch a comprehensive suite of offerings with esports data company DOJO Madness focused around League of Legends.
