Performance nutrition brand Runtime has announced a sponsorship of esports organisation, BIG Clan. The sponsorship will include supplying BIG’s Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players with in-house meals and a fully-branded, limited edition “BIG Box”. The “BIG Box” includes powdered supplements, snack bars, a shaker and BIG collectables like a metal pin and stickers.

As a part of the partnership launch, Runtime will be holding a “Collect ‘Em All” contest. Users that collect all 10 of the branded meals will win a set of prizes including a Runtime subscription, PC components and tickets to MEGAMARSCH 2019.

Back in March, Runtime announced it completed a seven-digit round of funding led by Everblue Management with participation from BITKRAFT Esports Ventures, Döhler Ventures, Food Angels Germany and angel investors. Runtime also supports Team Kinguin’s CS:GO team to supply performance nutrition.

BIG Clan currently competes in FIFA, Fortnite, League of Legends, Quake, Trackmania and CS:GO and gains support from esports betting company Unikrn, peripheral company Corsair, chair company Noblechairs, 3D headset company Hörluchs, and PC company Omen by HP.

Esports Insider says: Performance nutrition brands are gaining ‘strength’ in esports as gamers are becoming less of ‘players in the basement’ and focusing more on health and fitness while competing. We’ve seen this trend grow exponentially in Counter-Strike. Runtime has been a big player in performance nutrition in esports for quite some time and has been able to push more since its recent funding. As the company has been able to expand its brand and product, a partnership with BIG fits perfectly.
