Team Vitality has announced a major sponsorship from French telecommunications company, Orange

The announcement states Orange will be Vitality’s title sponsor with the Orange logo featured on the chests of team jerseys, similar to that of football jerseys. Physical activations will also be held at events like Gamers Assembly and the Paris Games Week.

Gaëlle Le Vu, Director of Communication at Orange-France said: “With its many initiatives, Orange is today the most involved operator on the French sports scene. And as the number one supplier of esports thanks to Fiber, Orange is now associated with the dynamism and sports results of Team Vitality. This partnership inevitably marks a turning point in the history of this discipline, and it is part of our overall approach to reach a generation that consumes media and competitive entertainment other than through conventional channels.”

Nicolas Maurer, Chief Executive Officer of Team Vitality said: “We are extremely pleased to welcome Orange to the Vitality universe. This is a strong signal that illustrates the rapid growth of the club in recent years. We want to go beyond traditional sponsorship schemes and make this association of French leaders a reference in European esport through unique content and activations. The power of the Orange brand combined with the strong identity of Team Vitality initiates a unique partnership in the esport in France and in Europe”

As the organisation has grown with teams in League of Legends, FIFA, and Rocket League, the organisation has nabbed a €2.5 million (£2.21m) investment, a sponsorship deal with Razer, and partnerships with Renault and marketing agency, Infront.

Esports Insider says: Nothing’s more endemic than a telecommunications company. As an organisation with roots in France, Vitality adding Orange as a major sponsor is great to see. The organisation continues to grow since it’s creation five years ago and the success of the EU LCS team. Vitality is taking France by force, and soon the rest of Europe!
