Sim racing esports team Altus Esports has entered a deal with Logitech ANZ that will see Logitech G become a title sponsor. As a result, the brand is now titled Logitech G Altus Esports.

ASTRO Gaming will also act as a title sponsor when the team fields more than one car in a competition – the organisation will attempt to make this happen at the iRacing GT World Championship.

The organisation’s competitors are taking on a role as brand ambassadors, only using headsets, keyboards, mice, webcams, and speakers from both of the brands. Logitech announced its plans to acquire ASTRO Gaming in November 2017 so it could be a market leader in both PC and console gaming accessories and equipment.

Logitech G Altus Esports will be in attendance alongside Logitech G and ASTRO Gaming at PAX Australia. The event will take place over October 26-28th in Melbourne – with an exhibit hall filled with AAA publishers, panels, live music performances, tournaments, and a lounge, among other activities.

Logitech G also sponsors the likes of G2 Esports, Overwatch League franchise London Spitfire, Super League Gaming, and Gfinity Esports Australia. ASTRO Gaming was announced as the official audio partner of the Gears of War Pro Circuit just last month.

Esports Insider says: Logitech ANZ taking a chance on a newly-formed team is nice to see, and it gets even better when you consider the size of sim racing compared to other esports genres. Having both Logitech G and ASTRO Gaming as title sponsors will no doubt raise the profile of Altus Esports, so this is a great deal for the organisation.
