TwitchCon announces sponsors, exhibitors and esports events

Kakao Games, Lenovo and Intel are some of the sponsors for the upcoming TwitchCon 2018 organised by social video service Twitch, the company announced through a press release.

Exhibitors, publishers, streamers, and pro players are gathering for three action-packed days starting on October 26, the 2018 edition is taking place at the San Jose McEnery Convention Centre in San Jose, California.

Starting with the Fortnite Hall that is hosting activities for the visitors, including the Fortnite Fall Skirmish – Grand Final. After weeks of intense competition, the professional players are gathering for the last battle. The winner takes part of the $10 million (£7.6 million) prize pool and the title of fall champion.

PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds is also present at TwitchCon 2018 thanks to OMEN by HP and the Broadcaster Royale: Omen Challenge. The most popular PUBG streamers are competing in this new style of tournament for a piece of the $300,000 (£230,000) prize.

The new battle royale sensation Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is coming to TwitchCon 2018. Twitch personalities lead by Tyler “Ninja” Blevins, Jack “OpTic CouRage” Dunlop, Michael “shroud” Grzesiek, and Benjamin “Dr Lupo” Lupo are competing in the Doritos Bowl.

The premier sponsors for the event are Kakao Games that will be showing Black Desert Online’s brand new expansion, Drieghan. The Intel Streamer Zone, the home away from home for 72 streamers for the weekends, and Legion, by Lenovo.

TwitchCon 2018 is welcoming over 140 exhibitors including Sony Interactive Entertainment, SEGA, Nerf Nation Experience, GUESS?, Inc, Nissin, and many others.

Esports Insider says: TwitchCon is a celebration of its community. The fans reunite inside the event to meet their favourite streamers but also meet other fans. The event keeps growing and it’s attracting more exhibitors and publishers. The new edition promises to be the best one yet thanks, in part to the esports competitions.
