Mkers announces sponsorship from Armani Exchange

Italian esports organisation Mkers has been named a global ambassador for fashion brand Armani Exchange as part of a new sponsorship deal.

Armani Exchange is the main jersey sponsor for Mkers, with its logo being displayed on the front of the organisation’s uniform.

Thomas De Gasperi, Co-founder of Mkers discussed the deal: “Partnering with such a significant brand is the perfect opportunity to reinforce our journey towards internationalisation, which has already begun with the acquisition of world-renowned athletes.”

Mkers entered a one-year content deal with grooming brand Gillette in October last year, focusing specifically on the organisation’s FIFA players. Just a couple of months prior, it entered a strategic partnership with marketing agency Infront that saw it assume control of Mkers’ commercial and marketing duties.

Paolo Cisario, CEO of Mkers also commented: “We are proud to have been the first e-sports team chosen by a prestigious brand like Armani Exchange. It is a reward for all the effort sustained up until this moment, and it gives great credibility not just to us and the investors that believed in our project, but also to the entire Italian e-sports industry. Now the real challenge will be to yield tangible results.”

Mkers currently fields rosters in titles such as FIFA 19, Clash Royale, StarCraft II, Street Fighter V, and Rocket League. It’s also partnered with Twitch and Sparco Gaming.

Esports Insider says: It’s safe to say that Infront is doing a good job for Mkers so far! Armani is obviously a big name in the world of fashion so to see it get involved with esports feels like a forward-thinking move for them, especially with Mkers looking to branch out internationally.
