Farming Simulator League finds lead sponsor in Corteva Agriscience

GIANTS Software has announced Corteva Agriscience as the lead sponsor for the inaugural season of its Farming Simulator League.

The American agricultural chemical and seed company will support all of the events in the league’s first season.

Corteva Agriscience has now been incorporated into Farming Simulator 19, with players having the ability to buy in-game branded items.

Christian Ammann, CEO at GIANTS Software commented on the deal in a release: “Inclusion of Corteva Agriscience products marks the first time in-game seeds, and herbicide are represented by real brands. As we continue to make the Farming Simulator experience more realistic, inclusion of Corteva herbicide, and iconic Pioneer seeds, will enhance the experience and excitement for players.”

The inaugural season of the competition, which was announced in January, will comprise of 14 events throughout the next year. Starting with FarmCon 19 on July 27-28th and ending with FarmCon 20 next summer, a total of €250,000 (£224,315) will be distributed as prize winnings throughout the season.

Steve Betz, Global Brand Manager at Corteva Agriscience also discussed the sponsorship: “On the field and in the game, we strive to spark enthusiasm for the next generation of farming. From gamers who love farming to future farmers that love gaming, we’re eager to join the vibrant Farming Simulator community and offer the opportunity to experience our products in the game.”

Grimme, AMAZONE, John Deere, Astragon Entertainment, Horsch, Lindner Traktoren, mYinsanity, and Krone all sponsor teams in the Farming Simulator League. Corteva, Logitech G, Intel, DLG, Nitrado, and noblechairs will also sponsor the competition.

Esports Insider says: Any and all jokes aside, we’ve been impressed by level of support GIANTS Software has brought in for the league from farming brands. From finding companies that will sponsor teams to finding a brand that will entire support the Farming Simulator League, the developer has done some great work ahead of the competition’s launch.
