BMW partners with Cloud9, Fnatic, FunPlus Phoenix, G2 Esports, and T1
German automotive giant BMW partnered with Cloud9, Fnatic, FunPlus Phoenix, G2 Esports, and T1.
The partnerships will insist of content activations across social media, a jersey sponsorship, the sharing of information, and “technology transfer” with BMW’s engineers and designers on both software and hardware.

FaZe Clan details $40 million Series A funding round
North American organisation FaZe Clan unveiled details on its Series A funding round, in which it raised $40 million (£32 million).
The round was led by Jimmy Iovine and included contributions from singers and rappers Pitbull, Swae Lee, Yo Gotti, DJ Paul, Ray J, Disco Fries, and Offset; sports figures such as Nyjah Huston, Meyers Leonard, Gregory Van Der Wiel, Josh Hart, and Jamal Murray; and a host of entrepreneurs and executives.

Riot Games unveils initial approach to esports for VALORANT
Riot Games released its initial esports plans for its free-to-play first-person shooter title, VALORANT.
Riot Games claims competitive integrity, accessibility, and authenticity are at the forefront of its plans for VALORANT’s competitive endeavours. It’s looking to make the game accommodating to aspiring professional players with “merit-based competition” and will enable third-party tournaments for the foreseeable future.
