Matt Shaw explains PUMA’s esports strategy on ESI Focus #1

In the very first episode of ESI Focus, one of three new podcasts launched by Esports Insider under ESI Network, host Adam Fitch is joined by Matt Shaw, the esports lead for major sportswear brand PUMA.

As part of the podcast’s current focus on apparel, it felt necessary to have Shaw involved due to PUMA’s ongoing efforts to increase its involvement in esports through partnerships with the likes of Cloud9, Gen.G Esports, and ORDER, among other organisations.

In addition to delving into the strategic partnerships that the brand has entered in recent months, Shaw discusses the ethos behind PUMA’s push into esports, how the brand will activate in the industry for the foreseeable future, the need to research and create tailor-made performance gear for professional players, and plenty more.
