The ESL Premiership regional competition for the United Kingdom and Ireland has announced partnerships with Puntt and Stakester for the Autumn 2020 season.
Betting site Puntt is a new partner for the ESL UK competition, while wager-based competitive platform Stakester previously joined this past spring.
Dan Ellis, Brand Partnerships Manager for ESL UK, commented in a release: “The partnership with Puntt offers the community a brand new way to engage with the players within the ESL Premiership. The players are able to develop their own communities with fans following their tournament performances closely. Puntt’s passion for developing the grassroot and semi-pro scene matches ours.”
Puntt.gg will specifically sponsor the Counter-Strike: Global Offensive side of the ESL Premiership, which also includes competition in Dota 2. The pool betting system lets fans wager against other esports fans.
As mentioned, Stakester was first announced as an ESL Premiership partner for the Spring 2020 season, and has been extended into Autumn. Stakester allows fans to bet on their own performances as they compete online against other fans for cash and merchandise.
Last week, ESL UK announced the return of the ESL Premiership for Autumn 2020 with new sponsor Razer in tow. The company also noted that there was a “multitude of new sponsors” joining for the season, and now we know that Puntt is another one of them.
Esports Insider says: The ESL Premiership Autumn 2020 sponsor pool is starting to take shape, and we expect to see a steady stream of these announcements in the coming days as the competition kicks off.
