EVOS Esports appoints Aaron ‘Qontra’ Chan as Head of Talent

Southeast Asian esports organisation EVOS Esports has announced the appointment of Aaron ‘Qontra’ Chan as its Head of Talent for markets in Malaysia and Singapore.

In his new role, Chan will deal with the organisation’s partnerships and talent acquisitions within the regions.

Prior to joining EVOS, Chan was the Operations Manager of fellow Southeast Asian esports organisation RSG. He also has an extensive background in the media industry having worked with Astro, Battle Arena Malaysia and Convergys.

Alongside Chan’s appointment, EVOS unveiled that Azrul ‘J Hunter’ Anwar and Fattah ‘FattahZie’ Zakia have become the latest brand ambassadors for the organisation. Currently, EVOS fields rosters in PUBG Mobile, Realm of Valor, and Free Fire.

The newly-appointed Head of Talent spoke on joining the organisation in a release: “It feels like a dream come true to work with arguably the best esports organisation in Southeast Asia.

“The demand for esports content continues to rise, and we hope to groom more youths to be the icons of the next generation. We hope to connect and bridge the gap between brands and talents in the esports ecosystem in Southeast Asia.”

Chan is the latest appointment made by the organisation. In February, the organisation appointed former player Stefan Chong as its Business Development Lead in Singapore.
