Eighty college esports teams across 50 countries have participated in the tournament. In Brazil, teams Odin e Amigos, Stay at Home, and Seleção are still playing for a spot in the finals that take place on May 16. The winner will compete against  50 other teams for the €20,000 (~£17,363) prize and the opportunity to attend the next VALORANT Masters tournament.

Nícolas “Nicolino” Emerenciano, who will be an official caster for the event, believes that it is very important to show Brazil’s players from the university scene.

“They may be the next players to compete in international competitions and, of course, they will be the ones who will represent us at the Campus Clutch World Cup,” he said in a press release, as translated by Esports Insider.

Marcelo Cassis, New Esports Business Director at Loading added: “It is exciting to see a world championship of Valorant aimed at university students, as it is a sign that esports [is] being valued by educational institutions around the world.”

Loading has previously broadcasted other tournaments, such as PUBG MOBILE Pro League, VALORANT Spike Series II, Camplota, Loading League of Esports (LLE), and LBFF, Brazilian Free Fire League.

The National Finals will be broadcasted on Loading’s TV channel, official website, and on streaming platforms Booyah! and Twitch.

Esports Insider says: Being a channel focused on gaming and geek culture, it seems natural that Loading would continue to showcase the esports ecosystem on TV. Hosting a big tournament such as the Red Bull Campus Clutch help solidify Loading’s brand strategy of being the home of gaming and esports in Brazil’s open television.
