Ninjas in Pyjamas joins the LPL, merges with ESV5

Swedish esports organisation Ninjas in Pyjamas (NiP) has announced a merger with the Chinese esports brand ESV5, creating ‘NIP Group‘ in the process.

As a result of the merger, Ninjas in Pyjamas will return to League of Legends by joining Riot Games’s Chinese franchised league, the LPL.

Nerd Street Gamers announces BLAST Premier collaboration

Nerd Street Gamers has announced a partnership with tournament organiser BLAST Premier to host an official BLAST Premier Fall Showdown CS:GO qualifier. 

The qualifier will take place at Fragadelphia 15, an offline American tournament organised by Fragadelphia and Nerd Street Gamers on September 10th – 12th. The tournament will feature a $60,000 (£43,341) prize pool.

We Are Nations launches apparel vehicle N2

Esports merchandising company We Are Nations has announced the launch of N2, a new vehicle for housing and marketing apparel collections.

In particular, N2 will be utilised for collections that are designed and produced by We Are Nations in collaboration with ‘top global designers, artists and creatives’, with an affinity to gaming.

LOUD announces content partnership with Facebook

Brazilian esports organisation LOUD has announced a partnership with social media platform Facebook.

As a result of the deal, LOUD will create Free Fire and GTA V gameplay highlights exclusively for Facebook Gaming. The exclusive videos will be published on LOUD’s Facebook page.

Entain to acquire Unikrn for £50m, names Head of Esports

Global sports-betting, gaming and interactive entertainment group Entain has agreed to purchase esports betting company Unikrn for a reported £50m.

Entain plans to acquire Unikrn’s technology platform, products and team, citing a lack of existing scale among skill-based wagering platforms.
