LetsPlay.Live secures ROCCAT sponsorship

Oceanic tournament organiser and broadcasting company LetsPlay.Live has welcomed Turtle Beach’s German peripherals brand ROCCAT as its exclusive peripherals sponsor.

According to the release, the sponsorship is a direct result of LPL’s partnership with media agency MKTG Australia and its parent company Dentsu Sports International.

The sponsorship took effect with LPL’s latest season of Pro Leagues, which premiered on September 6th. As a part of the deal, ROCCAT will become the naming sponsor for the third stage of LPL’s Rainbow Six Siege competition, which airs on Seven Network’s 7Mate on October 20th.

Duane Mutu, Managing Director of LetsPlay.Live, spoke on the announcement in a release: “We’re thrilled that MKTG’s wide-ranging clients are taking an interest in LPL and our esports content.

“As an endemic brand in MKTG’s portfolio, ROCCAT’s products are a perfect fit for LPL. We are confident ROCCAT will be a hit with our gaming-focused audience and the first of many successes to come from our partnership with MKTG.”

Joel Graham, Marketing Manager, Hardware at Five Star Games, commented: “LPL has a large, captive regional audience of gamers and esports enthusiasts, and we’re excited to announce ROCCAT as their exclusive peripherals sponsor.

“ROCCAT is focused on delivering a competitive advantage to PC gamers, so aligning the brand with leading esports provider LPL makes perfect sense.”

LetsPlay.Live recently partnered with electronics firm LG New Zealand, granting LG naming rights for the current season of LPL Pro CS:GO.

Esports Insider says: When LetsPlay.Live announced the partnership with MKTG Australia, it was unclear what the two parties aim to focus on, except for the intention to further secure LPL’s position as an influential brand in the Australia and Oceania region. This new sponsorship deal does exactly that, so it will be interesting to see what other deals might come from this arrangement with MKTG.
